federal and provincial funding |
Our organization has secured funding from federal and provincial governments, Service Canada, corporations, and private donors. We are grateful for the steadfast support of the Government of Canada and the Manitoba government over the past 14 years, which has allowed us to successfully conduct educational programs in Manitoba and establish a new location in Toronto.
ECCAI is grateful and proud to serve minority immigrants and all Canadian communities with various programs, expanding our services and establishing a new location in Toronto. We aim to enhance the lives of minority immigrants through different skills, economic support, and success in their endeavors. Thank you again for your generous support.
We are working diligently to enhance the lives of immigrants and the new generation, and we will continue to expand our efforts. ECCAI's activities and budgets require your ongoing support, as our organization relies on government funding. Being a minority-serving organization, your support would be immensely beneficial in fostering progress for the new generation.
We value the opportunity to contribute by providing employment opportunities to minority youth and new immigrants through winter and Canada Summer Job funding. Our programs have been running for thirteen years, and we look forward to continuing them. We are eagerly implementing meaningful initiatives that benefit our communities in Manitoba and Toronto.

government grantWe anticipate facing significant challenges with funds in achieving our goals and ensuring the program's success. One of the fundamental issues we foresee is the limitation of resources, placing strain on personnel.
Ideally, we require more positions to oversee various aspects of the program, such as instructors and training space, to accommodate additional student roles that would be necessary for the positions. The workload could be overwhelming for a few individuals, potentially compromising the quality of program delivery.
This includes vital resources like rental spaces, equipment, software, and materials. Insufficient funding in these areas might hinder our ability to provide participants with the best possible experience.

ECCAI offers coordinated support to a friendly community organization network for immigrant youth aged 15 to 30 who are seeking employment, specifically focusing on vulnerable youth in Winnipeg and Toronto facing multiple and complex barriers. Our organization delivers a program designed to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit in students aged 15 to 30 who are returning to school in the fall. It is a full-time paid employment program crafted to connect individuals to the workforce.

New immigrants, particularly immigrant youth who are out of work or out of school, often face challenges in securing and maintaining employment. ECCAI's summer job program provides opportunities for new immigrants and minority youth to enhance their potential for entrepreneurship. Through guidance, idea development, detailed business plans, and a commitment to success, our organization assists students in gaining hands-on training, financial support, and the chance to discover if they possess the qualities needed to become successful entrepreneurs.

ECCAI promotes youth participation in art and culture while being tireless advocates for women's rights. ECCAI's art and cultural education initiative is an equity, diversity, and inclusion workforce development program designed for minority and immigrant youth aspiring to pursue careers in the creative industries. The program aims to establish inclusive and representative career paths for racialized youth. Our art education initiative was developed in collaboration with the Winnipeg School Divisions and Toronto Neighborhoods in the City of Toronto.

ECCAI also offers traditional cooking classes to Canadian parents of children adopted abroad, aiming to educate them on the unique dietary needs of their children. ECCAI is a community organization network that provides coordinated support to young job seekers aged 15 to 30. Through one-on-one support and mentorship, ECCAI assists new immigrant youths and adults in developing skills and knowledge, identifying training and education programs to prepare them for employment, and providing more information about Canadian culture and the workforce.

ECCAI celebrates Multicultural Day every year, engaging youth and children while showcasing their abilities and talents in the areas of art, recreation, health, and sports in diverse communities across Canada. Our recreation project supports the development of mental health literacy and resiliency in youth aged 12-24 who have been exposed to community violence.
Opportunities in arts, community engagement, and recreation are available, varying based on our programming needs and the season. Students are welcome to engage and educate in programs and services, and through peer support, youth can learn about trauma, anxiety, and solutions through trauma-informed community workshops. ECCAI actively encourages youth and new immigrants to volunteer in our organization and other communities, contributing to making our city a better place for all to live, work, learn, and play.

We support high school dropouts, individuals of old age, new immigrants, and youth in low-income communities. Across Canada, high school dropout rates are more than double the national average.
At ECCAI, we support low-income children and assist youth in obtaining an education. We believe that no young person should face such challenges. High school dropouts create an achievement gap that has lasting effects on Canada's economic, health, and justice systems. ECCAI is dedicated to helping dropout youths graduate and empowering them. High school graduation better positions young people for employment. Our language, math, homework assistance, art, recreation, and mentorship programs provide a boost to the Canadian economy, ultimately increasing their overall standard of living.
For the past 14 years, ECCAI has been assisting thousands of youth in graduating from high school, breaking the cycle of poverty. We are dedicated to uplifting the new generation of minorities and supporting them in making Canada a country where all youth have an equal opportunity to graduate from high school and build the foundation for their future success.
