Celebrating Diversity, Preserving Heritage: A Journey into the Rich Tapestry of Ethiopian Culture with ECCAI 

who are we?

The Ethio-Canadian Cultural Academy (ECCAI) is a registered non-profit organization that commenced its operations on September 3, 2010, initiated by a volunteer group consisting of diverse dancers representing various ethnic groups in Ethiopia.

​ECCAI was established with the purpose of introducing the rich culture of Ethiopia to Manitoba, Toronto, and the Canadian community at large. Our objective is to keep children connected to their cultural roots and heritage, fostering well-rounded individuals with a positive self-image and a stronger sense of community connections with their peers.

Working with the kids allowed me to exchange cultures and languages. As a result of working with them, I have gained patience.
