OROMINGA

TRADITIONAL DANCE

DEFINITION

Tigrigna, an ancient cultural dance form, holds prominence in Tigrinya and Eritrea. This group dance is embraced by both men and women, featuring two distinct styles. Traditional Ethiopian Tigrinya dancing encompasses these two primary forms.

In the first, known as 'quda,' dancers create a circle, gracefully moving in an endless circular motion synchronized with the music's rhythm. Notably, female dancers often accentuate their movements, particularly in the shoulders, adding a unique touch to the performance compared to their male counterparts.
